Our Story

My name is Heather Baldwin, and I met my husband, Shawn, on Match and we got married in October of 2012. Between 4 teenagers, 3 Great Danes, work, and school activities life was busy. But as our kids began moving out of the house, I began dreaming of living in the country.  At that time, we had no ideas about future plans, and we had no specific preferences in mind about where we would live. In October of 2019, shortly after looking at houses online, a beautiful dream home on some property came up for sale just minutes from Shawn's childhood home. Fast forward a few months that dream home became our reality! Shortly after we moved here, we felt compelled that this place was calling for something-- something deep. Something for our community. Something way bigger than ourselves. And that's when the seed for flower farming began to "germinate". Shortly after, the horse pasture became the flower farm, and the horse stable became the potting shed.

Our home and farm are situated in the countryside about an hour northeast of Indianapolis. We grow over 130 varieties of annuals, perennials, and biennials from seed, as well as dahlia tubers and tulip, lily, and gladiolus bulbs, peonies, garden roses, and hydrangeas on just one acre of our property.

Neither of us have a farming background. I grew to love flowers when my children were very young. They poured into me and brought me so much joy. Fast forward some 20+ years and I'm doing what I love and loving what I do. Like any job, it's hard, it's mundane, it's a lot of bugs, sweat, and tears. But there's nothing like the joy of handing someone a bouquet of flowers fresh from the farm. We love sharing beauty and happiness with our community. Sowing kindness, growing beauty, spreading joy-- one bloom at a time.
